In a nut shell the sport of CrossFit was created to find the fitness humans on the planet. The CrossFit way of training fits perfectly into class format, which has skyrocketed its popularity amongst gym goers and fitness enthusiasts. These classes blend traditional weight lifting, gymnastic techniques, cardio & fitness training to make you the fitness and strongest you possible.
Where is it?
Our CrossFit classes take place in a semi – outdoor space. The Yard at Sweat Box has been specifically design for year round open air training. Partly covered, for protection against the elements, yet fully open. It’s the only training space of its kind in the UK.
When & What to expect?
Strength & Sweat – The building block.
These sessions will focus on building your overall strength using a variety of upper and lower body exercises. We also programme in some higher intensity work not to neglect the heart and lungs.
Level Up – Metcon – Here is where we build your engine.
Metcon stands for metabolic conditioning where we combine strength and cardio conditioning. The purpose of this class is to increase both your anaerobic and aerobic fitness in one workout. Increase muscle mass, drop body fat.
CrossBox – Boxing metcon
We’ve combined the classic strength work that a CrossFit class brings with the cardio hit that boxing requires. Work through various strength & condition exercises while learning boxing bag and pad routines for an all over body workout.
Gymnastics B/W Skill – Specifics on bodyweight essentials
There are a lot of gymnastic elements within the world of CrossFit. Olympic ring work and hand balancing among the few. Here we look into building strength and correct technique specific to bodyweight exercises.
